The astigmatism
The astigmatism
Astigmatism results when the shape of the cornea is oval rather than round. It produces a distorted and inaccurate vision on both near and far vision. A reduced vision of contrasts is source of confusion for reading. The astigmatism is often associated to a
myopia
or an
hypermetropia
.
> The correction of the astigmatism :
Toric lenses correct the astigmatism. Their thickness vary according to the axis. The thickness of the lens raises with the correction value. It can be limited by choosing thinned lenses.
Our solution for your visual defect
Your astigmatism will be perfectly corrected with
concave aspherical Nikon lenses.
The choice of the index depends on how important your correction is :
medium index
if your correction is low to medium
high index
if your correction is more important.
For an even better vision, choose the
customized multi-aspherical Nikon SeeMax
lens, which offers a more precise image. Nikon SeeMax is particularly adapted to astigmatics.
